Set within a tranquil plot surrounded by mature olive trees in the charming village of Ozanköy, this distinctive residence draws inspiration from the traditional village house and barn typology, reinterpreted through a contemporary architectural lens. The design embraces a unified architectural language defined by a single, continuous sloped roof, creating a bold yet harmonious silhouette that reflects both rural heritage and modern living. The house is conceived as a warm and intimate dwelling, carefully positioned within its natural setting to preserve the character of the olive grove while establishing a strong sense of place.

The structural system of the residence is entirely composed of heavy steel construction, allowing for minimal structural columns and the creation of generous, uninterrupted spans throughout the interior. This approach provides exceptional spatial flexibility and enhances the overall sense of openness within the living areas. One of the most striking features of the home is the double-height living, dining, and kitchen area, where the full expression of the sloped timber roof becomes a defining architectural element. The exposed wooden structure introduces warmth and texture, creating a powerful spatial experience that reflects the essence of traditional agricultural architecture while maintaining a refined contemporary character.

A seamless relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces forms a central theme in the overall design. Many exterior features have been thoughtfully integrated with the interior layout, encouraging fluid transitions between living areas and outdoor environments. Terraces, shaded outdoor zones, and landscaped areas are designed as natural extensions of the interior spaces, allowing residents to fully engage with the surrounding olive grove and enjoy a lifestyle deeply connected to nature. The result is a residence that successfully merges rustic inspiration with modern engineering, offering a unique architectural identity rooted in both tradition and innovation.
